Women’s Activity Group
We wish to THANK everyone who stayed after Church for the Entrée’ and Salad Bar (with all the trimmings) lunch in March. We are planning to have another, but it will be several months down the road. To all the members who donated items to make it a successful day, thank you! Without your support, the dinners would still be in the planning stages.
The Father/Son Banquet is scheduled for April 10 at 6 p.m.; cost is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for those 6 and under. Make reservations by signing up on the bulletin board at church.
We will be serving the Rotary Appreciation dinner on April 20. We will be calling for servers and Activity Group donations.
April 28 is the Christian Women’s Conference in Lincoln. Register by April 11 with your payment of $30 to Kay Garman. You may also sign up on the bulletin board at church.
May 20 will be our outing to “Church Basement Ladies 2 – A Second Helping.” Contact Karen ASAP if you plan to attend. Cost is $80. We will be traveling with Peoria Charter Coach.
We are to serve another Mason County Retired Teachers’ lunch on July 20.
Just a reminder – the church has a commitment to furnish 85 – 90 cans of fruit for Emmanuel’s Warehouse on the second Sunday of each month, and you may place your donations in the containers in the foyer or basement.
The second Tuesday of each month we serve the Rotary dinner at 6 PM.., this is a fund raising project that supports our missionaries each month. Due to a health problem with one of the other servers we have been asked to do 2 weeks in the month. While, we take on this temporary task, we wish to thank you for your extra help.
Our next meeting will be on April 15, 2010, at 7:00 pm. Hosting will be Dessie Forsythe, with devotions given by Judi Kammerer.
Please remember the group encourages all the ladies of the church to attend our meetings and outings. Hope to see you at the meeting.
